This painting was inspired by the Silos at Magnolia Market
I love coming up with new ideas to bring texture to my art. My grandma was an artist with paint and my Nana is an artist with yarn, it only made sense to bring these two mediums together to honor all that I learned from those two amazing women.
Mixed media painting using, acrylic paint, punch needling and embroidery techniques. The yarn and embroidery has been glued in back to help prevent damage or threads becoming loose.
